Milton Comprehensive Plan
A Road Map for Milton's Future
What is a Comprehensive Plan?

A Comprehensive Plan is an official city document that highlights the goals of a city based on its current and projected community identity. The plan provides a road map for a community's future change and growth and guides the city's future actions. The update to Milton's Comprehensive Plan will ensure that the city's Comprehensive Plan reflects the community's goals for the next twenty years. The update will be guided both by community input and by the city’s vision statement:

"A City for all ages striving to maintain its small-town character and support for strong schools, public safety and neighborhood unity, balances the need to grow and prosper in a sustainable manner with environmental, political, economic, and social desires of the City."
The City of Milton is currently updating its Comprehensive Plan, which is a road map for the city's growth and development over the next twenty years. During this process, the City will focus on policy updates to key parts of the plan that address land use, parks and recreation, housing, capital facilities, and transportation. Public engagement is an important part of the planning process, and we would love to hear from you about your vision for Milton's future!

How Can I Get Involved?

Community input is an important part of the planning process and will help to shape the updated Comprehensive Plan. There will be a number of opportunities where you can share your ideas and vision for Milton's future, including an online survey, focus groups, and workshops and open houses. Keep your eye on this webpage for more information about opportunities for input!
